I have found my favorite photo-editing app. I know, I know, it’s been around for a while you say, but as a non-early adopter of technology, I only recently started using VSCO. It is so simple to use, and makes even the average-joe photos look stunning. Their film presets are all natural and beautiful, and will never turn your photos orange (yes, we’re looking at you Instagram). The best part? VSCO Grid is not a social network. It takes out all the unnecessary distractions like followers and likes to focus on the most important thing: creative photography.

Since discovering VSCO, I edit all my mobile photos with their free app, VSCO Cam. I am new to photography and still learning how to use my new Nikon DSLR; but I’ve been shooting with my phone for a while and have never used an app this good. I also love the idea of creating your own grid. It’s like a portfolio for the non-professional photographers, who still want a visually impressive way of disaplaying their work. It’s also a great place to discover and explore beautiful photos. While the app doesn’t display or give importance to “followers”, you can still select the photographers you’d like to see appear in your feed. While my VSCO Grid is still a work-in-progress, I’d love to hear what you guys think. And if you have your own VSCO profile, leave the url in the comments so I can check them out!
